The actress and model seems more than up for the role of the powerful DC hero, as she recently shared some lovely fan art that gives Atkinson a Power Girl makeover. The art was created by Jeff Chapman, and Atkinson is pretty pleased with the results. Thank you Jeff Chapman for turning me into Power Girl! I love it?? The costume is an updated take on the design seen in the comics, but the suit keeps the trademark elements fans know, including the well known cut out otherwise known as the boob window.

The Quietus | News | LISTEN: Gemma Ray & Alan Vega RSD Collab
One of the slabs tQ is most looking forward to picking up today is Gemma Ray's 'Death Disc', featuring a couple of newly-penned teenage tragedy songs, 'Motorbike' and 'Waving At Mirrors', with the former aided and abetted by Alan Vega of Suicide no less. Factor in the ace picture disc artwork by Lucy Dyson have a look above and watch the trailer at the foot of the piece and the strictly limited run of , and we're chomping at the bit to get hold of it. It was originally just me on organ and singing, but then my bass player Ed Turner hit the magic Suicide buttons on the drum machine and laid down a filthy bass line whilst rehearsing and recording in Wales. I liked the idea of juxtaposing a melodic girl group-style song, with the more brutal production being in line with the Death Disc theme. I'd always imagined the song needing a male counterpoint, to make a twist on the role of the Shangri-La narrations of Mary Weiss, and when Alan was keen to be involved I was very honoured. Gemma Ray Live In Session
This is my fourth year working with Suicide Girls as a photographer, almost exclusively. Focusing on SG is something that has happened gradually but was definitely a conscious decision of mine. Over ten years later we shot for SG, they loved her and bought her first set — such a cool moment for us both.
But why? What is her destiny? Gemma Doyle's story spins on from the boarding school called Spence, sending her through London ballrooms, opera houses, opium dens, slums, and far into the "spirit world" called the Realms.
